Our school council decided to ask for some donations to create some Kindness Hampers for some of the residents of Sycamore Lodge.
We were blown away by the kindness of our families at this busy time – we raised over £200.00 alongside donations of blankets, socks, biscuits and sweet treats.
Miss Curry and the school council set to work making all the hampers and with the help of Mr. Orr and Boldon School’s Minibus we delivered all the parcels to the care home.
A huge Thank you to our families for supporting our school council with this wonderful idea that we know will make the residents very happy!
Merry Christmas!

Once again, it was a pleasure to work with Sandra from Tides of Change Beach School to complete a Winter Warmer activity with all of the children. This involves the children learning about fire safety, lighting a campfire and toasting marshmallows.
A s’more even made it’s way to my office—it was delicious!

All of our children enjoyed a trip to the Customs House this week to watch the pantomime ‘The Sorcerer’s Suitcase’
A huge thank you to the PTA who helped fund part of the trip which kept the costs slightly lower for our families. It is always nice for our children to experience a Pantomime!
Oh yes it is!

On Friday 15th November we celebrated Children in Need day in school.
The children were encourage to wear spots and dots and pudsey accessories.
Thank you for all your kind donations we raised £225.00

We have been really lucky this week as part of our continued work on kindness to work with a local graffiti artist Chris from Big Foot Arts.
Chris worked with all of Key Stage 1 in the morning working on drawings and designs.
In the Afternoon, all classes were given the chance to watch Chris in action as he created the mural, some children even getting the chance to use the spray paint.
Thank you Chris – We Love It!
“Be the I in Kind”

On Wednesday 13th November we celebrated World Kindness Day.
As an accredited Kindness School we like to spread a little kindness in the community.
Our children made little messages of kindness that we delivered around East Boldon including Helen Gibson Nursery, East Boldon Juniors and St Georges Church.
One of our neighbours even hung their message on their tree.
“In a world where you can be anything be kind”
