Reception have enjoyed a visit from Martin and his hearing dog Inca. We found out how Inca lets Martin know if there is an alarm going off or if someone is at the door.

To end our wonderful week we invited parents/carers into school to join us for a dance around the decades afternoon.
All year groups performed a dance from either 60’s,70’s and 80’s.
It was a lovely afternoon celebrating our community spirit.

To celebrate our 140th Birthday we had an 1885 day in school.
It was AMAZING!
All children (and staff) came into school dressed in clothing from that era.
We had a full day of 1885 experiences including a traditional lesson in school from Beamish staff, making scones, looking at artefacts and role playing washing day, writing in ink and making peg dolls.

We are SO incredibly proud of our dance club taking part in the Dance Festival. The girls and boys put on such an amazing performance and shone so bright on stage at The Customs House.

Reception enjoyed a wonderful end of their minibeast topic with an Ugly Bug Ball. The children came dressed in amazing costumes and enjoyed a day of fun games and party food.
