Last week in school all of our children were able to experience various Chinese workshops which were delivered by Confucius Institute based at Newcastle University.
Reception children took part in a Taichi PE lesson.
Year 1 experienced writing Chinese calligraphy.
Year 2 tried Chinese paper cutting.
They all had a wonderful time.
We were in a very lucky position to send some of our children to the Schools Gymnastics Competition at the Urban Factory.
They entered the team competition and came 4th out of 16 teams, we are beyond proud of the effort of all of the children despite only few lessons to practice the routine.
Across the week we have welcomed our parent/carers into school to work alongside our children.
It was lovely to share our workshop and stay and play sessions with parents/carers and hope it has given a little taster of the work that happens in school.
We were all enchanted by out theatre visit to see The Enchanted Snowglobe at The Customs House.
The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves especially where it snowed on them towards the end.
Thank you so much for all of the donations for Norah’s North Pole.
These were collected and taken to the head quarters.
We welcomed Sycamore Care Home into School on Monday 11th December.
All of the year groups sang some of their Christmas songs to them which they loved.
Thank you to Beth and Peter for bringing out friends to school.
