Year 2 Life Guards

19th April 2024Ashley Elliott

Year 2 had a special visitor this afternoon from the RNLI.

We enjoyed learning about staying safe at the seaside. First we looked at their uniform and then we found out what the different flags at the beach mean so that we know where it is safe to paddle and swim. We also learned what to do if we ever found ourselves in danger. It was fun pretending to float like a starfish while shouting for help! We hope you like the photos!!

Girls shooting stars festival:

Eight of our resilient, hardworking KS1 girls took part in a football festival.

The festival was Disney themed and the girls took part in 5 different challenges throughout the morning. The challenges included dribbling the ball through cones at Minnie and Mickey’s relay, beating the Hulk at a plenty shoot out and passing the ball through Pluto’s passing Slalom!

It was so much fun and our girls showed teamwork and focus throughout the challenge! Well done to our shooting stars!

World Book Day

8th March 2024Ashley Elliott

We have had a wonderful time celebrating world book day and our love of reading!

We enjoyed spending time with the junior school children completing different activities and reading together.
Our world book day competition was a huge success too! The time and effort spent on producing wonderful wooden spoon characters was incredible! Well done to our winners Ava and Clara from reception, Remy and Mara from year 1 and Frances and Adalyn from year two.  Well done!
As part of our celebrations we welcomed poet Ian Bland into school for a day of poetry fun! Ian performed some of his humours poems in assembly before working with all classes to write poems. We ended the day with a poetry performance where classes showcased their wonderful poems.
