Reception had a lovely visit from the school nurses and found out all about handwashing and the importance of washing our hands to stay healthy.
East Boldon Library are providing a session for children on a Thursday evening, after school 3.45 – 4.45pm. This will run every two weeks.
This is a fun session for the children to enjoy with reading, crafts and games. This is for 6-11 year olds, but under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Fraser from Year 1 entered an art competition to show his “Happy Place” across the summer holidays.
This was through the artist Lucy Pittaway. There were age categories all the way to age 16….however Fraser won the overall competition! Wow! How amazing Fraser – we are all so proud of you!
Fraser’s work will be displayed in Lucy’s art galleries and his work will be printed and he will receive 3 copies. Keep a look out! Well done indeed Fraser!
After an eventful start with the double decker bus coming down mundles lane.
Mr. Orr came to the rescue to ensure our Year 2 children enjoyed a lovely day out at Souter Lighthouse.
They explored the lighthouse and created their own light up versions.
Reception enjoyed a visit from our community police officers this morning.
They loved looking at the police car and finding about how police help us!
This week our Eco Warriors, along with Miss Holt and Mr Platten went on a walk around the school environment looking out for litter that we could pick up!
Our Eco Warriors were true superstars, and managed to find lots of litter that was around our area.
Well done to our Eco-Warriors!
Year One had a fantastic trip to Newcastle Keep on Tuesday. All the children enjoyed attending “Knight School” and finding out about the training a knight had to go through. We all practiced serving the Lord and Lady then looked at the armour a knight had to wear…it was very heavy!

Reception had a wonderful afternoon at their ugly big ball to finish off their minibeasts topic. We played games, did The hungry caterpillar yoga and enjoyed the minibeast biscuits we decorated.
