We’ve had a wonderful morning visiting our care home friends.
The children enjoyed completing Easter crafts and were fantastic ambassadors for our school.
This week we have celebrated British Science Week across school.
The theme for this special week was “Time”.
Across school staff have planned in exciting activities.
Reception has a smell test to see if they could identify different foods. they has also been reading The Gingerbread Man so they experimented to find out what would happen to the Gingerbread Man if he gets wet. They also designed boats to keep the Gingerbread man dry. Super Fun!!
Key Stage 1 welcomed Science Buddies to work with the children as scientists. They experimented with different liquids and watched what happened over time. The children had lots of fun!
We have had a wonderful time celebrating world book day and our love of reading!

Year 1 welcomed Angela’s Ark into both classroom as part of their science work with animals.
All the children were braver than Mr. Orr when the snakes came out the box!
Last week in school all of our children were able to experience various Chinese workshops which were delivered by Confucius Institute based at Newcastle University.
Reception children took part in a Taichi PE lesson.
Year 1 experienced writing Chinese calligraphy.
Year 2 tried Chinese paper cutting.
They all had a wonderful time.
